Is there anything we can do to help? Are your friends using bitcoin + lightning to raise funds for themselves?

There's no way to mail things freely to Cuba, for example. And certainly nothing like sat phones.

I've asked my internal contacts the same question: the answer is really not much, other than publicize everything that comes from the inside. Their access to services like Twitter is blocked and spotty at best, so just divulging what's going on is a service.

Ask them if they need financial help and can receive bitcoin. Maybe it’s too locked down for those transactions- I’ve heard it used in protests elsewhere.

I wonder, should these protests gain traction, if they will fail trigger the imagination and passions of young Americans because they are leftists.

I'm late to the party.

Can Cubans just swarm the police stations, disarm the police and take it to the streets?

I guess they've created an atmosphere where nobody trusts anyone else, so it's impossible to organize?

Contrast your mention of the current Cuban constitution with ART. 33. Of the Cuban constitution of 1940 ‘All persons shall have freedom to express their thoughts by speech, writing, or any other graphic or oral means of expression without subjection to previous censure, utilizing for this purpose any and all means of dissemination available.’ Thanks for getting the word out about the Cuban reality, hermano y sigue la lucha.
